Jeremy Shaw: Motorsports Editor
Jeremy Shaw
Jeremy Shaw is an internationally recognized authority on motorsports history and technology. He has been writing and talking about the sport, as a reporter and commentator, since 1974. For six years, beginning in 1979, Shaw was the Features/Sports Editor for Autosport, England's most prestigious racing journal. He coordinated all international auto racing coverage as well as working as an on-site reporter. Shaw held the position of European Editor of On Track magazine from its launch in 1980, and emigrated to the States in 1985 to became editorial director of the magazine.

He reverted to the ranks of motorsports freelancers in 1989 and became a regular contributor to a variety of publications including Autosport (England), RACER (U.S.) and Sony F1 Grand Prix Special (Japan). There was also time to produce a number of respected books on American racing: Co-author of "Nigel Mansell's Indy Car Racing," published in 1993, and Editor/primary contributor to the "Autocourse Champ Car Yearbook," series from 1993 to 2006.

For a decade, Shaw served as an on-air television commentator/analyst for the Champ Car World Series. The past two years have seen him travel to Melbourne to commentate on the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix for Australia's Network Ten. He has also become a regular fixture on the acclaimed American Le Mans Series Radio broadcast team.

By way of giving back to the sport that had filled his life with memories and friends, Shaw founded and continues to coordinate the Team USA Scholarship, a program aimed at assisting young American drivers in the formative stages of their careers. Past winners include Jimmy Vasser (1990 winner), Bryan Herta (1991), Jerry Nadeau('93/'96), Memo Gidley (1995), Buddy Rice (1997) and A.J. Allmendinger (2001). All experienced their first taste of international racing as a result of winning the scholarship.
