L.A. Auto Show Top 5 New Cars

It's in Ford's hands to change the world, because so many Fords are sold globally. When we're talking bailouts, Ford is most deserving because there's more sweat than gamble over its products. They saw the light a while back. Congress asks for a business plan, they shoulda been to the LA Show. Ford can hold up the Fusion, against a backdrop of Flex, Focus and Escape, all fuel-mileage leaders in their class.

The Fusion is the fullback of Ford's rebound, churning through the line powered by a new 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine. The new Fusion Hybrid is a halfback, reaching new levels of efficiency including 39 highway miles per gallon and 47 mph on electric alone, on a powerful nickel-metal hydride battery. The price of $27,220 is in line, but is it low enough for the future?
