5 Surprising Buyer Incentives

Sweet deals available on some great luxury and performance cars

BMW M3
Base Price: from $54,500
Incentive: 0.9% financing

During the initial feeding frenzy for the new 2008 BMW M3 last spring, mark-ups - token to exorbitant - were common. Now with sales of the iconic M3 languishing a bit, dealers are offering 0.9-percent financing on M3s and nine other models. Manufacturer dealer incentives are motivating BMW sales personnel to move inventory so deals can be struck.

For the remainder of October, up to a hefty $7,500 cash rebate is available on luxury 7-series Bimmers - the 750, the 760 or the limited production ALPINA B7 rated at 507 horsepower. For the 750i, this represents an almost 10-percent savings over MSRP. For buyers of the 760 (MSRP: $124k) and the ALPINA (MSRP: $115k), the $7.5k rebate should pay for a luxury cruise to celebrate the new car. There are also decent rebates on the Z4s.
