MINI Crossover Concept
In U.S. dealerships: Spring 2010

A production version of the puffed-up MINI Crossover Concept - built in Austria by Magna Steyr - is projected to appear in U.S. showrooms in the spring of 2010.

The Crossover will be the first MINI with all-wheel-drive and four passenger doors - three front-hinged swingers with the left rear being a slider which allows opening up the driver's side from A-pillar to C-pillar. The rear hatch is also a slider with frameless, retractable glass.

The Crossover Concept is all about rounded corners with an exaggerated front grille and headlamp treatment. Although unmistakably a MINI, the Concept's black rocker panels and black wheel-opening moldings give it that "tall" sport-ute look. And, of course, it's bigger than the average MINI.
