5 Paris Motor Show Originals

Somebody had to show up in Paris with an extreme show car. This year, the prize goes to Citroen for its GT Concept.

If this sculpted hunk of stark white eye candy looks like it just roared out of a video game virtual garage, it's because it did. Citroen engaged Sony Computer Entertainment subsidiary Polyphony Digital to pen the car - or rather digitize it.

The GT Concept is a unique marketing exercise combining the Paris show car with a video game racer. You can virtually drive the GT on your Playstation 3 by acquiring a copy of GTbyCITROEN. The virtual car gets its propulsion from a fuel-cell powered electric motor.

Polyphony is the creator of the mega-popular driving simulator Gran Turismo 5 for PS3 and 50-million copies have been sold.
