Our pick for Best in Show is the striking Hyundai Nuvis Concept. From the Korean automaker's California Design Center, the Nuvis is a rolling showcase of innovative design and advanced technology.

Visually, the natural flow of the exterior surfaces blends with the rolling floorpan and contoured seats of the interior - all accented in acrylic blue with matching lighting - and revealed by opening the two huge gull-wing doors.

The heart of the Nuvis is the Hybrid Blue Drive parallel hybrid architecture drivetrain allowing the 2.4-liter Theta II 4-cylinder gasoline engine and the 30kW electric motor power the drive wheels separately or in tandem. Hyundai's innovative lithium polymer batteries are smaller and lighter than current lithium ion units and are partially charged through a regenerative braking system.

Look for Hybrid Blue Drive in next year's Sonata sedan.
