Sensible shoes transportation for these trying times

Nissan Sentra 2.0 S
Base Price: $16,605

This sixth generation Sentra made its debut to an excellent reception in 2007. It has the most interior volume of these 5, and its fine forgiving chassis makes it quite comfortable. Under the hood there's a modern aluminum double-overhead-cam 2.0-liter engine making 140 horsepower and strong torque, with a wonderful standard 6-speed gearbox (24/31 mpg) or for fuel-saving (25/33 mpg) the optional Continuously Variable Transmission - and Nissan is a leader in CVT technology.

Standard safety equipment includes ABS (drum brakes in rear), front side airbags, full-length airbag curtains, and a tire pressure monitor; but electronic stability control is not available. Other nice standards include a 60/40 split rear folding seat and good front buckets with nice suede cloth interior, 160-watt 6-speaker sound system, 16-inch wheels, halogen headlamps and remote keyless entry.

Add up the standard features and thatŐs a lot for your money.
