Toyota Camry Hybrid
EPA mileage: 34 MPG Combined
Base Price: $25,860

An independent model line since 1982, the Camry is perennially the best-selling car in the U.S. and much of the world.

The seventh generation Camry was introduced in 2007 and became the platform for the first generation Camry Hybrid, utilizing the Prius-developed Hybrid Synergy Drive system and an equally slippery body shell.

Originally sold only in Japan, the car's production is being shifted to Toyota's Georgetown, KY plant. For the motorist wanting to strut his green stuff, there's a limited-edition 50th Toyota Anniversary Camry Hybrid - 3,000 units, all in Blizzard Pearl with associated trim and badging. Good luck finding one.

Despite an EPA combined rating of 34mpg, the Camry Hybrid is a pretty peppy package with combined gasoline/electric peak power of 187hp / 140KW.
